Good morning ECEC families!

 

We’ve had a fun first month of 2026 here at the ECEC and we’re ready to keep the fun and learning going!

 

I would like to take a moment to reiterate our safety protocols during drop off and pick up.

• All parking needs to be in the parking lot across the street (unless you have a parking permit from the office)
• Watch carefully for children as you are driving onto our street and parking lot.
• PLEASE use the crosswalks to cross the street and be sure to keep your children with you at all times!

There can be a lot of traffic during drop off and pick up times, as well as the Murray City School District buses that drop off and pick up some of our students.  I’m sure that we can all help to continue the safety of everyone here at ECEC!

Aspire/Classroom Emergency Cards

Please check your Aspire account and your emergency card on file in your child’s classroom to make sure all of the information is up to date. Your phone number, email address, home address and emergency contacts. Please be sure you have at least 2 different emergency contacts listed in the (hopefully unlikely!) event that we are unable to reach you.

 

Tuition (If Applicable)

Tuition is due the first week of every month unless special arrangements have been made with the Preschool Coordinator.

Valentine’s Day information:  While we don’t have holiday parties here at ECEC, if your child would like to bring Valentine’s cards/treats to school that would be okay.  Please make sure any treats sent follow our “Nut-Free Policy” and that they are store bought.  Small toys (i.e., playdough, pencils, etc.) are always a good choice as well!  Also leaving the “To: _____” section blank is the best here for us to help in the passing out of valentines.  Writing their name on the “From: ______” section is great name writing practice!

 

Illness Policy Reminder:  

ECEC Illness Policy

Please make sure you are following these guidelines for keeping your children home.  Children should not return to school until 24 hours after all symptoms have subsided.

 

Financial FYI:  The tax ID # for the ECEC is 87-6000503.  Use this number for tax deduction purposes.  If you need information regarding the amount of tuition paid during the 2025 calendar year, email Kristin Millet (kmillet@murrayschools.org).   Please be aware that this information may take a few days to compile.  Every effort will be made to respond in a timely matter.

 

2026-2027 ECEC registration will be sent home in the next few weeks.   All families who currently have a child enrolled in preschool have the opportunity to register early for the 2026-2027 preschool year.  Classes will fill up quickly and are first come, first serve.  Watch for that information to be sent home soon!
